Ben's Story

Ben Storey is one of the young breed of chief executives in Leeds. After learning his trade working for others he now runs his own professional accountancy firm out of Hillside.

Courtley West started trading in November 2007 just after the birth of Ben’s second child. There’s no better incentive to make a go of your business and the firm now has 70 clients on its books.

Moving on from working at home, shared office facilities didn’t suit Ben’s business so he was delighted to move into Hillside when it opened in October 2008.

“I liked the look of the building and it was finished to a much higher standard than other offices I looked at in my price range” said Ben. “I’ve found the flexibility fantastic at Hillside and if I’ve got a problem I know I can speak to the team and it will get sorted. I’ve got enough to worry about running my business, it’s good to know that I don’t have to worry about the office.”

“The proximity to the city centre makes it easy for clients to visit and with the business community at Hillside being a mix of private and public organisations, local networking opportunities are invaluable. There’s nothing like having a great office for making a good impression and I love the fact that I don’t have to fight my way through city traffic each day to get to an office of this calibre.”
